NotePage,
Inc. announces its support of Novell's NetWare 5.1
Hanover,
MA - February 7, 2000 - NotePage, Inc. today announced its
support of Novell's NetWare 5.1, Novell's directory-based server
operating system. Novell's latest server operating system will
allow customers to take greater advantage of the growing trend
toward using open, Web-based e-business applications, as well
as Web-based network management and resources. All of NotePage,
Inc's network paging applications including PageGate, WebGate
and NotePager Net have been tested and approved to work with Novell's
NetWare v5.1.
NotePage's
flagship product PageGate is a network paging engine that uses
any single or combination of four different interfaces. The gateway
allows for e-mail or web messages to be sent to paging devices
or digital phones. The graphical user interface allows scheduled,
repeating, and or preprogrammed messages to be sent. In addition
the commandline /ASCII interface allows for the scanning of a
predetermined file for text messages or for commandline paging.
PageGate compliments the NetWare design and is a powerful modular
application.
NetWare
5.1 provides customers with an ideal platform for Web-based applications
with the inclusion of IBM WebSphere, WebSphere Studio and Oracle8i.
NetWare 5.1 also allows customers to extend Novell Directory Services
to the Web with NDS eDirectory for building and managing secure
and customized relationships with customers and partners through
the Web. In addition, Novell provides customers with the most
dependable and efficient access to network resources.
"We're
proud to be an early supporter of NetWare 5.1. NetWare 5.1 customers
will benefit from the power of NotePage, Inc.'s corporate messaging
solutions" said Sharon Housley, vice president of marketing for
NotePage, Inc.
"We
are pleased NotePage, Inc. is serious about providing its customers
with solutions that complement the Web-based network management
and resources found in NetWare 5.1," said Dave Shirk, vice president
of product marketing and management at Novell. "NetWare 5.1 gets
to the core of what customers expect from their networks-zero
downtime, easier administration and management, and more resources
for leveraging their Internet investment." Evaluation copies and
